Arts and Culture Indicators Project Data, 2003-2004, Zip Code
Data source:

This datalayer presents the 2003 and 2004 data on arts establishments and organizations summarized by zip code . The data set is from County Business Patterns (CBP) and contains counts of establishments and employment that fall under North American Industrial Classification codes (NAICS) that have been designated Arts and Culture related establishments.

Arts & Cultural Activities is a datalayer that contains information about nonprofit cultural organizations, creative industry businesses and individual artists. The categories include: ethnic, fair, historical, humanities, library, media, multidisciplinary, museum, performing, schools, service, visual and other. This data could be useful to agencies, researchers, cultural organizations, funders, artists, policy makers, and the general public to support analysis, advocacy, and policy development.

The Historic Places datalayer consists of both point and polygon coverage, which represents the locations or boundaries of significant historic properties and sites with legal designations under several specific local, state and federal statutes. These data could be useful to agencies, researchers, cultural organizations, funders, artists, policy makers and the general public to support analysis, advocacy, and policy development.    
   
 
Lighthouses

This point datalayer shows the location of all 58 existing lighthouses in Massachusetts. While some remain in active use, some are not and are maintained privately.
